A play-based experience in Kitchener that helps children reconnect with nature and their love of learning.

 

At Home in the Forest is where children learn how they learn best.  When kids feel grounded, confident and motivated, real learning happens naturally.

We welcome all kids of learners - children who are struggling in traditional classrooms, those who have "fallen behind", gifted kids who crave more challenge, and homeschoolers looking for a nurturing small-group experience. We engage kids to learn in key areas, with focused attention to fluency in reading and a love of math.

With just 5-7 children per adult, we create a kind, supportive community where every child feels seen and valued.

Our days begin outdoors at Lakeside Park, where we play, explore and connect with the forest. We head home for lunch and an afternoon of playful learning focused on curiosity, connection and the joy of mastery. Wherever possible, our learning continues outdoors - where minds open and creativity thrives.​​​​
